Questions

What is DNS Proxy Mode?

Instead of translating in the browser with a script, your domain points to Web Linguist. Our servers fetch your original page, translate it, and deliver the finished translated page from its own URL.

What would I get?

A fully qualified URL for every language, translated HTML that search engines can read without running JavaScript, and the option of translated URL slugs.

What does setup involve?

You’ll update a few DNS records with your domain provider, and we’ll guide you through every step. Your original site stays right where it is, and DNS Proxy Mode will be offered as a premium option alongside our current plans.

Is script mode going away?

No. Script mode is how every Web Linguist plan works today, and it isn’t changing.

When is it launching?

Soon. We’re putting the finishing touches on DNS Proxy Mode now, and everyone on the waitlist gets first access and launch updates.
